Nissan Pathfinder 2005 - 2012 - Used, advantages, disadvantages

In 2005, the Nissan Pathfinder SUV came on the market. Initially, the choice was a 2.5 dCi diesel engine with 174 hp and a 4.0 petrol V6 engine with 269 hp. In 2010, the Nissan Pathfinder was redesigned in addition to a different front and rear look, with built-in headlights and a new engine offering. The diesel was replaced with two turbo diesels: a 2.5 dCi with 190 hp and a 3.0 V6 engine with 231 hp. They are available with a six-speed manual transmission and a fifth-speed automatic transmission. In addition to the fifth sedan, the Japanese also offered the seven-seater Nissan Pathfinder with the optional Patfinder Elegance and Pathfinder Premium.

Nissan Pathfinder won four out of five stars at the Euro NCAP crash test. All models contain airbag for driver, front passenger, side airbags, air curtain, ESP i ABS.

On longer highway trips, the Nissan Pathfinder is very comfortable, but comfort drops dramatically when switching to slightly worse roads. Inside, there is plenty of legroom as well as a passenger head. The front seats can be adjusted to the position. The back row of seats are intended for children because it does not offer too much space for the passengers' feet.

Nissan The Pathfinder is a great off road car and very good at towing loads because of its huge power. People who are used to newer models of off road vehicles will be uncomfortably surprised by the improper steering, the amount of rocking of the car, and the manual transmission, which is a bit like a truck gearbox. An automatic transmission is a better option with 2,5 diesel engines. With a slightly higher engine load and higher rpm, the engine can bother and get very loud. The competitor Toyota Land Cruiser is significantly better to drive, but it is also much more expensive.
