Too bad Yeti

Too bad the Yeti experience

In 2009, the Skoda Yeti compact SUV was launched. It shares the platform with the VW Tiguan but is 50.8 cm shorter and has front or all-wheel drive. In 2010, the Skoda Yeti won the prestigious Red Dot Award with its special design. Apart from the shorter bodywork, it is distinguished from the VW Tiguan by a smaller wheelbase, which greatly facilitates handling in confined spaces.

The Skoda Yeti is a five-seater car, the rear seats being individual and collapsible. With all-wheel drive, the Skoda Yeti is a true SUV with an uphill assist system and electronic differential lock. What it lacks in terrain is the height of the ground, which is 18 centimeters at Skoda Yeti. The Skoda Yeti comes with a six-speed transmission, a dynamic suspension that provides good grip on the road. The volume of the Škoda Yeti trunk is 405 liters and can be expanded to 1760 liters by lowering the rear seats.

The height from the ground to the start of the boot space is as high as 73.5cm, which is very high and requires more effort from the driver to load things into it. Also, the entrance to the car is set quite high, and the somewhat confusing dimensions of the vehicle make it difficult to park for which the front parking sensors are not standard, but are recommended.
The standard Skoda Yeti safety equipment includes front airbags, side airbags, air curtain and ESP anti-skid system. In the Euro NCAP crash test, the Škoda Yeti earned the highest mark.

Of the petrol engines on offer are the 1.2 TSI petrol engine with 106 hp, the 1.4 TSI petrol engine and the 1.8 TSI with 160 hp. The 1.8-liter petrol engine is only available as a 4 × 4. They consume about 7,5 liters per 100 kilometers.
Diesel engines include a 1.6-liter 104hp diesel, 2.0 TDI 110hp, 140hp and 170hp engines. Diesel engines consume about 5 liters per 100 kilometers, while the more powerful diesel can reach up to 7 liters the same distance.
