The Ford C-max is a compact van that Ford has been producing since 2003. It is based on Focus but comes before the market.
The Ford C-max comes with 6 petrol engines ranging in power from 80 to 350 horsepower, while diesel engines come in 3 sizes. The weakest 1.6 diesel with 109 horsepower, a slightly stronger 1.8 with 115 hp, and a 2.0 turbo diesel engine with 136 hp. Gasolines start with 1.6 with 100/110 hp, 1.8 liters with 115 hp, 2.0 with 136 hp. Fuel consumption in diesel ranges from 4,5 to 7 liters per 100 kilometers, and in gasoline 1.6 combined consumption is about 8,5 liters. All subsequent (stronger) versions of the engine consume more fuel, but in turn give excellent performance.
Ford C-max received good marks in reviews and a EuroNCAP test with 4 stars and 31 points in passenger protection. It is also the first car to receive 4 stars and 38 points for child protection. They come as standard ABS, EBD, driver's, passenger airbags.
