Fiat Ulysse 2002 - 2007 - Used car, advantages, disadvantages

Fiat Ulysses

Fiat Ulysse, a practical and bulky monovolumen, has been manufactured since 1994 + and was developed in collaboration with Peugeot and Citroën.
It has two large sliding doors and a large trunk. In 2002, the minivan was redesigned and introduced the second-generation Fiat Ulysse. Two petrol 2.0 16V 136 hp and 3.0 V6 24V 204 hp are offered. Diesel engines offer 2.0 JT extension 16V with 106 hp and 2.2 JTD 16V with 128 hp. The fastest Fiat Ulysse is the 3.0 six-cylinder, which reaches a speed of 205 km / h and accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 10.2 seconds. The most economical is the Fiat Ulysse with a 2.2 diesel engine, which consumes about 7,0 liters per 100 km.

Fiat Ulysses

This car is ideal for a comfortable longer ride, while for city driving it may be a little 'rough', the power steering is quite solid.
At the Euro Ncap test, Fiat Ulysse received a maximum of 5 stars for passenger safety.
The standard equipment includes six airbags, an alarm, and some models include electric sliding doors, a large glass sliding roof, air conditioning and navigation.

When all seven seats are in the trunk, it is quite small considering the size of the car, and removing the seat from the car can take a long time, so the seats are quite heavy.

The biggest flaws Fiat Ulysses are bugs with electronics: lifting windows, central locking, instrument panel illumination, electronic door sliding door irregularities.
Likewise on the first models with 2.2 JTD there were problems with the failure of the turbocharger as well as problems with the accumulation of water under the timing belt which caused the belt to skip and crack which can result in the complete destruction of the engine.
