Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS  
PROBLEM - Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates.
CAUSE - Excessive operation of ABS / TCS in difficult weather conditions (snow / ice).
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Access the ECM error memory and clear the error codes.

Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - Clicking from the front wheel at startup.
CAUSE - Clearance between front hub and drive shaft.
REPAIR - Lubricate the drive shaft and front hub contact surfaces.

Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - Steering wheel vibration at 110 - 145 km / h.
CAUSE - Worn rear front lower arm bracket.
REPAIR - Replace the lower suspension rear bearing on both sides. Check tire condition, tire pressure, wheel balance and wheel geometry.

PROBLEM - The tailgate / tailgate will not open when the release switch is pressed.
CAUSE - Faulty tailgate / rear door switch.
REPAIR - Install a new tailgate / rear door switch.

PROBLEM - Knocking from the engine when starting, after a long engine stop.
CAUSE - Premature operation of the camshaft position (CMP) actuator due to a fault in the engine computer software (ECM).
REPAIR - Test components, electronics and mechanics to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Reprogram the engine computer (ECM) with upgraded software.

Opel Insignia - MODELS WITH MANUAL GEARBOX 
PROBLEM - It is difficult to activate gears.
CAUSE - Central clutch plate blocked on transmission input shaft.
REPAIR - Remove the transmission. Clean and lubricate the transmission input shaft grooves. Refit the transmission.

Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS WITH CODE LLU / A16LET 
PROBLEM - The engine vibrates at low acceleration.
CAUSE - Engine computer software (ECM) error.
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Program again engine computer (ECM) with upgraded software.

Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS WITH CODE LLU / A16LET 
PROBLEM - Hesitation when accelerating under light load.
CAUSE - Engine Computer (ECM) - Software folder error.
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Reprogram the engine computer (ECM) with the upgraded software.

Opel Insignia - ALL MODELS WITH LDK / A20NHT CODE 
PROBLEM - Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates. Occasional loss of power during acceleration.
CAUSE - Engine computer software (ECM) error. Turbocharger Charging Pressure (TC) Control System Fault.
REPAIR - Inspect the turbine charge pressure control system (TC). Replace / repair components as needed. Reprogram the engine computer (ECM) with the updated software.

Opel Insignia CDTI 2.0 
PROBLEM - Loss of engine power. Unusual noise from the engine.
CAUSE - Uncontrolled operation of the air flow control valve on the intake manifold.
REPAIR - Remove the intake manifold. Inspect the intake manifold air control system. Replace / repair components as needed. Check for engine damage. Replace / repair components as needed.

Opel Insignia CDTI 2.0 
PROBLEM - The engine failure (MIL) light is on. Loss of engine power. Engine downtime.
CAUSE - The fuel injector electrical wiring assembly rubs against the duct causing a short circuit.
REPAIR - Install a new fuel injector electrical assembly. Access the ECM error memory and clear the error codes.

Opel Insignia CDTI 2.0 
PROBLEM - Improper operation and variation of idle speed.
CAUSE - Engine computer software error (ECM).
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Reprogram the ECM with the modified software. Program the injector calibration code in the engine computer (ECM).

Opel Insignia CDTI 2.0 
PROBLEM - The engine failure (MIL) light is on. The engine loses power.
CAUSE - Loose, damaged, or missing the EGR radiator vacuum connector plug.
REPAIR - Check the condition and condition of the EGR radiator vacuum plug. Replace if necessary.

Opel Insignia CDTI 2.0  
PROBLEM - The engine oil level indicator light illuminates after a cold start, even though the level is correct.
CAUSE - Engine computer software (ECM) error.

PROBLEM - A warning code 'Code 55' or 'check DPF' appears on the multifunction display.
CAUSE - Interrupted the regeneration process due to an error in the parameter map in the engine computer (ECM).
REPAIR - Initiate forced regeneration Particulate Filter (DPF), using manufacturer's diagnostic equipment or the like.

Opel Insignia A20DTH 
PROBLEM - The engine failure (MIL) light is on. The engine loses power.
CAUSE - Engine computer software (ECM) error.
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: reprogram the ECM with the modified software.

Opel Insignia - MODELS WITH LBW / A28NET CODE 
PROBLEM - A 'low refrigerant' warning message is displayed, although the level is correct.
CAUSE - Improper version of the refrigerant expansion vessel.
REPAIR - Install the modified engine coolant expansion tank.

Opel Insignia - PETROL MODELS 2.8 2008-09. 
PROBLEM - The engine failure (MIL) light is on.
CAUSE - Excessive wear on the timing chains causes incorrect signals from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor. A software upgrade is required for effective repair - contact the manufacturer.
REPAIR - Replace timing chains and spanners and, if necessary, sprockets. Check that the engine computer (ECM) is programmed at service intervals of 15.000 km and program if necessary.

Opel Insignia - PETROL MODELS 2.8 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 
PROBLEM - Deteriorated engine performance at high speeds. The car does not reach the declared top speed.
CAUSE - Software incompatibility between engine computer (ECM) and transmission control module (TCM).
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If no error is found: Reprogram the ECM with the modified software.
