Most Dacia Duster 1 customers "target" versions with richer equipment in more interesting colors and equipment that does not differ much from more expensive rivals, including el. windows, air conditioning, and even cruise control and navigation. Initially, the Dacia Duster 1 had problems in terms of ergonomics (instrument panel with solutions worthy of the 90s) and quality, which is why 3 years after its debut (2013) the car underwent modernization, which greatly solved the problem of control panel ergonomics. , which made it more "friendly" to the driver. The Duster is not only one of the cheapest in the SUV offer, but also has the character of an SUV: it is raised from the ground by as much as 21 cm and has efficient four-wheel drive (not in all versions).
The cabin seems spacious enough for passengers. But the front seats are soft with a short seat and poor support. The boot capacity varies depending on the version of the drive: the 2WD has 475 l, the 4WD - 408 l, but there is room for a full-size spare wheel (2WD placed under the car) or a gas bottle.
Initially, the Dacia SUV engine range included gasoline, atmospheric 1.6 (with factory TNG) and 1.5 dCi diesel with 90 and 110 hp. In 2013 1.2 TCe joined the offer, and two years later a new 1.6 SCe unit with a capacity of 115 hp (replaced by 1.6 16V). All engines can be combined with a 4 × 4 drive, except for the model with a factory-installed gas installation. Performance worthy of modern cars is provided by the engine with the smallest capacity, but with turbocharging - 125 hp 1.2 TCe allows you to accelerate the Duster to 100 km / h in less than 10.5 seconds (in other versions you have to accept a "sprint" at the level of 12-13 sec). The engines are combined with 5 or 6-speed manual transmissions, and as of 2016, a dual-clutch EDC (only in dCi and 2WD drive).
The exhaust system is exposed to damage in 4 × 4 versions.
Frequent bursting of pipes leading from the air filter to the engine, causing the engine to lose power and go into emergency mode.
With 1.5 DCI diesel engines (predominantly 110 hp), problematic operation below 2000 rpm occurs. The problem is to solve the problem by reprogramming or replacing the injector.
The diesel DCI version causes rapid clutch wear. In addition, the vehicle encounters a failure of the clutch mechanism, which makes the clutch all the time after a little "catch".
Some owners report gearbox problems so pay attention to gear shifting issues, there must be a smooth gear shift.
Frequent entry into the interior of the vehicle due to poor door seals and problems with drains under the windshield.
Cracks in the windshields around the rearview mirror.
Very sensitive body color for physical damage as well as extremely poor chassis protection against corrosion.
Very robust and loud interior, especially the door panels.
For the 4 × 4 version, there are problems with incorrect display of fuel in the tank. After the beginning of 2011, the problems were resolved.
Frequent lighting of ABS and ESP warning lights for no reason.
Numerous complaints related to vibrations when driving between 110 and 140 km / h. Balancing is necessary. If this is not enough, the tires and / or wheels need to be replaced.
If one does not attach great importance to finishing and performance, and especially values usability and relative durability, one should choose Dacia Duster without fear. This car tolerates better-than-expected passage of time and will be perfect as a means of transportation for people living away from quality roads.

To me, this car is great, both in terms of functionality and appearance. For what its price is great.
