What are the most common problems and failures of the Volkswagen Passat B6 and how to solve them?

Volkswagen Passat - ALL MODELS WITH MANUAL GEARBOX 
PROBLEM - The sound of crushing or scraping from the transmission when selecting 2nd gear.
CAUSE - Inadequate 2nd gear synchronous version.
REPAIR - Replace the 2nd speed synchronous assembly.

Volkswagen Passat - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - The central locking system does not work when the ignition is off.
CAUSE - The subsequently installed audio unit uses the ISO connector.
REPAIR - Check the electrical installations of the audio unit. Check that power 15 and power 30 are not replaced in the ISC connector.

Volkswagen Pasat - MODELS WITH PETROL ENGINE 1.4 / 1.8 / 2.0 
PROBLEM - Engine overheating because the engine coolant fan motor is not running or occasionally running.
CAUSE - Faulty engine coolant fan motor control module.
REPAIR - Install a new engine coolant fan control module.

Volkswagen Passat - MODELS SA AUTOMATIC GEARBOX 
PROBLEM - A warning message is displayed on the instrument panel 'Please operate clutch'.
CAUSE - The diagnostic module requires a software upgrade.
REPAIR - Reprogram the diagnostic module with the modified software. Disconnect the battery after repair. Wait 5 minutes before connecting the battery.

Volkswagen Passat - MODELS 2005 - 2006 
PROBLEM - Vibration / knocking from the rear door.
CAUSE - The inner door panel vibrates at the bottom of the rear door.
REPAIR - Remove the inner door panel. Cut the self-adhesive tape into 280 mm strips. Install the straps to the bottom of the rear door. Install the inner door panel.

Volkswagen Passat - MODELS 2005 - 2006 
PROBLEM - The airbag control indicator (SRS) illuminates.
CAUSE - SRS control module defective.
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. If error (s) are not found: Install the modified SRS control module.

Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI SA SOIL FILTER (DPF) 
PROBLEM - Improper engine operation.
CAUSE - Defective pressure sensor Particulate Filter (DPF).
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components (as needed) to eliminate other possible causes. Install a modified pressure sensor Particulate Filter (DPF).

Vw Passat - MODELS PASSAT CC 
PROBLEM - The engine does not start hard or at all. The steering lock does not work. The message 'steering column lock incorrect' appears on the display. The power steering indicator light illuminates.
CAUSE - Faulty steering column lock control module.
REPAIR - Install the modified steering column lock control module.

Vw Pasat - MODELS WITH ACTIVE SUSPENSION 
PROBLEM - Knocking from the rear suspension when driving on bad roads or over lying cops.
CAUSE - Improper version of the rear shock absorber upper bracket bearing.
REPAIR - Install the modified rear shock absorber upper bearing bearings.
