Suzuki Swift 1992 - 2003 - Used, comfort, engines, malfunctions

Suzuki Swift

Suzuki Swift

If you want an average car that doesn't appeal to its looks, doesn't have a high price tag, and yet again meets basic needs and is not expensive to maintain, then the Suzuki Swift is definitely one of the solutions.

APPEARANCE - Suzuki Swift

The appearance itself Suzuki Swift will leave almost everyone indifferent. The interior is quite uninteresting and not so spacious. The equipment itself, even optional, is nowhere near that of its competitors. The ride itself is not thrilling. The front does not have enough grip, so it escapes with a sharper ride, that is, if you manage to take a sharper ride with the small engines built into this model. The suspension is quite rigid, so expect a pretty solid ride, especially as a front passenger.

ENGINE - Suzuki Swift

Three petrol variants. 1,0 with 56 hp, 1,3 with 67 hp and a stronger 1,3 GTI model, with a round 100 horsepower. None delight in alien performance, and we would recommend the smallest. It will delight you, if nothing else, with its low consumption of 4,7 liters of unleaded gasoline per 100 kilometers. The weaker 1,3 follows it with slightly higher consumption, while the GTI also consumes six liters on average according to factory data.

FAULTS - Suzuki Swift

The Suzuki Swift is, like most Japanese, a reliable car. What you need to pay the most attention to is the rust that may occur even before you expect it. For this reason, inspect the tin thoroughly and pay particular attention to the bubbles that are the first sign of rust. Also take a good look at the trap, ie uneven tire wear, as this has proven to be a weak point. Parts are generally inexpensive, so there should be no more expensive intervention.
