What are the most common Škoda Fabia failures and how to solve them?

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS FROM 23.05.2011.  
PROBLEM - Rear wiper motor not working, loud noise from rear wiper motor.
CAUSE - Rear wiper motor internal fault.
REPAIR - Install the modified rear wiper motor.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS FROM 01/2009. 
PROBLEM - Creaking from the front suspension on bumps and bends.
CAUSE - Improper version of the front shock absorber upper bracket.
REPAIR - Install new front shock absorber upper brackets.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS WITH AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL, FROM 21.06.2010. 
PROBLEM - Rattle / knock from the air conditioning / heating fan motor compartment when driving on bad roads, whine / hum from the air conditioning / heating fan motor compartment when the fan is running at low speed.
CAUSE - Air conditioning / heating fan motor manufacturer error.
REPAIR - Test components, electronics and mechanics and replace defective components. If no fault is found, install a modified air conditioning / heating fan motor.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS FROM 04/2010. 
PROBLEM - The electric power steering (EPS) is not working, the power steering control (EPS) light is on. The engine cannot start, the exterior and interior lights flash, the audio unit switches off occasionally.
CAUSE - Weak connection between negative battery lead and chassis connection due to corrosion.
REPAIR - Clean the chassis ground terminal, install a modified battery ground cable, clear the error code.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS WITH TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS), FROM 04/2011. 
PROBLEM - Control indicator illuminates TPMS, which cannot be reset.
CAUSE - The TPMS reset button is pressed when the ignition is OFF.
REPAIR - Test electronics and mechanics components and replace defective ones if necessary. If no error is found, reprogram the TPMS control module with the upgraded software. Calibrate it.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - Medium brake light not working, rear window washer / wiper system fault.
CAUSE - Electrical installations damaged next to rear door / boot hinges.
REPAIR - Repair the electrical installation.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - The engine occasionally shuts down and the control indicator on the instrument panel illuminates intermittently. Occasional loss of electric power steering (eps).
CAUSE - The CAN bus lines in the engine electrical installation are tapping against the ABS hydraulic modulator causing a short circuit.
REPAIR - Inspect the electrical wiring of the motor for damage and make necessary repairs if necessary. Disconnect the wires from the abs hydraulic modulator.

Škoda Fabia - ALL MODELS WITH WINE FROM TMBEM65J8B3178836 
PROBLEM - The tailgate will not close. The open door control indicator illuminates on the instrument panel, and a click is heard in the tailgate when opened.
CAUSE - Faulty tailgate lock mechanism.
REPAIR - Install a modified trunk lock mechanism.

Fabia - ALL WINE MODELS FROM TMBAA65J1A3101926 
PROBLEM - Water enters the cab through the front and / or rear rubber protection strip on the door while driving.
CAUSE - Improper version of the rubber door protection tape, the door is misaligned.
REPAIR - Check front and rear door settings and adjust if necessary. If the problem persists, replace all rubber door guards.

Fabia - ALL MODELS WITH DIESEL ENGINES FROM 12/2009. 
PROBLEM - The heater control lamp illuminates, engine power loss during acceleration.
CAUSE - Defective accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.
REPAIR - Replace the accelerator pedal / sensor assembly APP.
