New Rolls-Royce Phantom

The New Phantom model was introduced in May 1925. It was another Rolls-Royce after the legendary Silver Ghost, the first RR model to hit the market for 18 years. Using the almost identical chassis of the Silver Ghost model, the New Phantom, later known as the Phantom I, was brimming with innovation. The new distribution system housed inside a single-piece detachable cylinder head allowed a massive, six-cylinder, six-cylinder cylinder of 7668 cm3 much more power than its predecessor. Otherwise, Rolls-Royce he never disclosed data on the power of his models. All in all, the features that engineer Royce considered basic - superior engine quietness with always enough power - were unquestionable. Another novelty is the mechanical brakes on all wheels, while the ignition system with two spark plugs per cylinder was taken over from Silver Ghost. The atmosphere in the cabin was also impressive. The most expensive materials provided a royal atmosphere only to the chosen gentlemen. A total of 2269 Phantom I models were produced.

After five years of production, RR represents the successor - the Phantom II model. This model was also the last whose development from draft to complete model was supervised by F. Henry Royce himself. With its sleek, modern form, the Phantom II impressed, and technically outperformed the legendary Silver Ghost. The engine and gearbox were connected, a brand new rear suspension concept was introduced, and the front axle design provided outstanding stability when braking. Phantom II Continental sports body with lighter body is also introduced. At the time of this model RR was bought by Bentley, and in 1933 another R from the name, the famous engineer Royce, died. 1402 Phantom II and 278 Phantom II Continental models were manufactured. In 1936, the successor, the Phantom III, arrives on the market.
