Nozzles - Problems with nozzles and what problem nozzles do

Nozzles

Nozzles

Defective nozzles can cause the diesel engine to malfunction and be destroyed by its owner. Unfortunately, modern systems are constructed in such a way that it is difficult to detect the first symptoms of the problem.
200000-250000 km is the mileage that nozzles usually withstand in modern diesel engines with Common Rail system. Let the nozzles last less - for example Delphi - others longer, such as Siemens or Denso.
There is no rule as to how the injection system is damaged. Bosch, Siemens, Delphi, Denso systems - each of them works differently and is sensitive to other shortcomings. Fuel quality, air in the fuel system causes damage to the piezo elements or improper assembly can cause damage to the nozzles, injectors.
Unfortunately, we have bad news. Problem detection can be very difficult, especially in newer systems.
The Common Rail system is designed so that if one or two injectors start to deviate from the permissible fuel dose or the open time of the nozzle, the rest of the system adjusts its operation so that the exhaust emission remains at the norm allowed for a given car. Because of this, it often happens that we cannot notice the beginning of a problem with the nozzles or the entire modern injection system.
What should he worry about? Problems starting the engine and sudden acceleration. Increased consumption and detonations in the engine are other things that can indicate problems with the injection system. However, this is not the worst.
The problem with starting the engine is the temptation for battery and starters, and can cause battery and starter failures.
Failure of the injection system results in uneven engine operation and faster wear of the flywheel. The same can be applied to the drive chain. The uneven operation of the motor causes the chain to stretch faster.
As you know, modern diesel engines are equipped with sensitive exhaust cleaning systems. The exhaust gas sealing system clogs faster as a result of problems with the injection system, for example, residues of unburned fuel reach the exhaust system. Thus, in case of clogging of the exhaust gas purification system, the diagnostics should start from the injection system.
The worst thing that can happen is melting the piston. The more fuel in the cylinders, the higher the temperature. High temperatures in the cylinder can cause the piston to melt and destroy, which can end the life of the drive unit. An expensive engine overhaul or engine replacement will follow.
Control of injection systems by computer diagnostics

Inspecting the operating parameters, control of the fuel dosage setting determines the condition of the injectors on the individual cylinders. Depending on the system, acceptable dosage adjustments for injectors may be 1 mg, 2 mg, or even 4 mg per injection. It is assumed that if the injector has a fuel dose correction above 4 mg, this suggests nozzle damage.

hello Blagoy Marotov from Mk .. my question is for mercedes w204 125hp 2007 god.auto works normally, towing normally, only when heated and stopped in the back, at traffic lights or anywhere, the engine is uneven, see also the arrow rpm going up and down, I changed 2 fuel pressure regulators, it's the same again, so it's another problem..please tell me what could be.. hello thanks ..

I have the same problem, my automaton is nice towing and it works, but when I drive it and stop at the traffic light my father shakes for a second as if to raise a little bit and turn it down and after a certain time the same, there was one nozzle problem I did yes but the problem remained, now i don't even know what to do anymore, if you solved the problem please share with others. Greeting

passat b5.5 1.9tdi, cool fires well, works fine on back, pulls fine, but when warmed up and extinguished when ignition of vergl for a long time then lit. means a long vergla to ignite when the engine is warming up. one nozzle on the diagnosis shows a difference from the other three. Well, it ejects black smoke when the accelerator pedal is squeezed a little more.

  • Mladen says:

Due to a faulty electronic nozzle on the mercedes sprinter, incorrect engine operation, my flywheel went out, the bolts on the bosch pump cracked, as well as the pipes from the bosch pump on the nozzles. Also due to the high vibration, the engine mounts went.

Hello, this is how I have a problem with the Audi A3 1.9 77kw in 2006, 310000 crossed the car when it was idling for 5 minutes and when I wanted to go, it emitted a huge amount of black smoke and booze and something was heard in the engine to shoot like that. the smoke then goes normally it just happened to me at the start in first and second gear samk is black smoke and I noticed that I have increased fuel consumption

Hi, I have a problem with increased consumption of 15-17l per city. I have a mercedes e250 w212 with 204 horsepower. The car does not have a single error, multiple diagnoses are made and many things are controlled. In the Mercedes, I updated the engine computer thinking it wasn't chipped but still the same. Exhaust gases ok, no smoke, nice operation of the tractor,… .. Is it possible that the nozzles are in question considering that I have 208000km? Thanks in advance

Hello, I have had a problem for 2 years now. The mechanic did not solve it for me
It's about the car actually starting, but as if it lacks fuel, it shakes and sometimes it shuts down, sometimes it manages to stay in operation, it only happens when the engine has been running for a while, so I leave it for 5 minutes and then again when it needs to be started. if anyone has an idea please help thanks
