Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 15.10.2006. 
PROBLEM - Noise from the front wheel bearings.
CAUSE - Defective wheel bearing (s).
REPAIR - Check the front wheel bearings for wear and replace if necessary.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 12.02.2006. 
PROBLEM - Noise from the rear wheel bearings.
CAUSE - Rear wheel bearing manufacturer error.
REPAIR - Install modified rear wheel bearings, if necessary.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH BOSCH BRAKE LININGS FROM 10.01.2006.  
PROBLEM - Loud noise from the rear brakes when braking while reversing.
CAUSE - Rear brake linings defective.
REPAIR - Install the modified rear brake linings.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 03.06.2008. 
PROBLEM - Control indicator ABS/ESP bright. Stop lights do not work. Driving speed control does not work. Driving speed control is periodically deactivated. The vehicle speed limiter does not work. Periodic operation of the vehicle speed limiter. The 'Service' control indicator illuminates.
CAUSE - Brake pedal position (BPP) switch defective.
REPAIR - Check that the distance between the adapter and the surrounding components is satisfactory. Install the modified brake pedal position (BPP) switch. Install the adapter assembly to the brake pedal position switch (BPP) and the existing assembly. Attach the adapter connector to the instrument panel fuse box bracket with a strap.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 18.04.2007. 
PROBLEM - The parking brake lever does not remain tightened.
CAUSE - Worn internal handbrake lever components.
REPAIR - Install the new parking brake lever assembly.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 01.10.2006. 
PROBLEM - The parking brake locks in cold weather. Parking brake cable blocked due to internal damage / corrosion.
CAUSE - Water enters the parking brake cable.
REPAIR - Replace both parking brake cables.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 22.07.2005. 
PROBLEM - Whining from the rear suspension when entering a vehicle, moving or braking at low speed.
CAUSE - Defective rear shock absorbers.
REPAIR - Install new rear shock absorbers.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 11.11.2007. 
PROBLEM - Knocking from the front of the vehicle when driving on bad roads or during stopping / starting.
CAUSE - Loose inserts on the front subframe.
REPAIR - Lift the vehicle with a crane. Loosen the 2 nuts that hold the power steering bar and prevent the set screws from turning. Loosen the 4 screws that secure the front bezel to the body. Tighten the 2 right bolts securing the front subframe to the body, to a torque of 88 -108 Nm. Tighten the 2 left screws that secure the front subframe to the body, at 88 - 108 Nm. Tighten the power steering bolt bolts to 9 Nm. Tighten the right power steering rail nut to 90 - 110 Nm. Tighten the left power steering rail nut to 90 - 110 Nm. Adjust the geometry of the front wheels.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH MANUAL GEARBOX FROM 27.02.2008. 
PROBLEM - Knocking from the engine compartment when turning at a lower speed.
CAUSE - Loose tie rod of this speed selector.
REPAIR - Replace the tie rod of this gear selector.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - Clutch vibration when the clutch is activated when moving at 2000 rpm.
CAUSE - Defective clutch pressure plate.
REPAIR - Replace the clutch pressure plate.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS 
PROBLEM - Shivering in 1st gear with the engine idling.
CAUSE - Incorrect engine control parameters stored in engine computer (ECM). Transaxle / Engine Mount (s) Defective.
REPAIR - Check and adjust engine operation control parameters using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Check transmission / engine mounts. Replace component (s) if necessary.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH XENON HEADLIGHTS FROM 24.10.2006. 
PROBLEM - Defective rear suspension height sensor.
CAUSE - Water enters the rear suspension height sensor.
REPAIR - Replace the rear suspension height sensor.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH FAST RELEASE BATTERY CONNECTIONS 
PROBLEM - Startup error. Battery discharged.
CAUSE - Battery connections incorrectly installed.
REPAIR - Check that the battery connectors are installed correctly. Repair if necessary.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH TURNING LIGHTS 
PROBLEM - The cornering light error indicator light illuminates intermittently. The message 'Directional Headlamp Malfunction' appears on the display.
CAUSE - Water enters the suspension height sensor connection.
REPAIR - Check and clean the suspension sensor connections and the connectors on the connector. Reconnect the electrical installation of the suspension height sensor so as to leave enough space for the suspension to move.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL FROM 23.09.2008. 
PROBLEM - The required outdoor temperature cannot be set on the air conditioning / heater control panel.
CAUSE - Air conditioning / heater control panel defective.
REPAIR - Replace the air conditioning / heater control panel.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH MANUAL GEARBOX FROM 15.04.2007.  
PROBLEM - Unable to engage gears.
CAUSE - Defective gear lever mechanism.
REPAIR - Replace the shift lever mechanism.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS SA SOOT PARTICLE FILTER (DPF) 
PROBLEM - Loss of power. Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates. Rattle from the turbocharger (TC).
Too much exhaust smoke.
CAUSE - Turbocharger internal fault.
REPAIR - Inspect the engine for internal damage and repair as needed. Install a new turbocharger.

Citroen C4 1.6 HDi 
PROBLEM - Turbocharger oil leak. Loss of strength.
The sound of the engine whistling, the turbocharger.
CAUSE - Cracks and damage to the turbocharger intake pipe.
REPAIR - Replace the turbocharger intake pipe.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITHOUT SOIL PARTICLE FILTER (DPF) 
PROBLEM - Unusual noise from the center console while driving.
CAUSE - Insufficient sound insulation around the gear lever.
REPAIR - Install the gear lever sound insulation.

Citroen C4 1.6 HDi  
PROBLEM - Incorrect sound from the timing belt space.
CAUSE - Water entering the timing belt covers causes corrosion.
REPAIR - Replace the timing belt along with the spanners and rollers.
Clean corrosion from all components.

Citroen C4 1.6 HDi SA SOIL PARTICLE FILTER (DPF) 
PROBLEM - The fan continues to run after the ignition is turned off for a maximum of 10 minutes.
CAUSE - Parameter map in the engine computer (ECM).
REPAIR - No action required.

Citroen C4 - ALL FIVE-DOOR MODELS 
PROBLEM - Vibration from the trunk space.
CAUSE - Excessive clearance between the boot shelf and the side boot guard.
REPAIR - Remove the luggage rack. Place the sponge plate on the right and left side luggage compartment guards. Install the trunk shelf.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH DV / DW12B ENGINE, 01.04.2006. - 20.06.2006 
PROBLEM - Improper idling. Hesitation / interruption. Error codes stored in the ECM error memory: P0335.
CAUSE - Faulty crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connections.
REPAIR - Check the production date on the CKP sensor. If the date code is 3156 or higher, the CKP sensor is correct. Replace if necessary.

Citroën C4 - ALL MODELS WITH MANUAL GEARBOX FROM 15.04.2007.
PROBLEM - Unable to select speeds.
CAUSE - Defective gear lever mechanism.
REPAIR - Replace the shift lever mechanism.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS WITH SOIL PARTICLE FILTER (DPF) AND RHT / RHR / 4HW ENGINE CODES 
PROBLEM - Engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates.
CAUSE - Electrical installation temperature sensor DPF tare on the support.
REPAIR - Replace the temperature sensor DPF. Connect electrical installations as needed.

Citroen C4 - ALL MODELS FROM 05.05.2006. 
PROBLEM - The tailgate / rear door does not open and does not open. The boot lid / rear door is difficult to open.
CAUSE - Broken trunk / rear door locking mechanism.
REPAIR - Replace the tailgate / rear door locking mechanism. The shutter date is 25/04/06 or greater.

Citroën C4 - ALL THREE DOOR MODELS 
PROBLEM - Windows displace insulating tape when closed.
CAUSE - Defective door window safety latches.
REPAIR - Install modified window safety latches if necessary.
