CAR BULBS

Car light bulbs

Whatever the law, today's driving, or today's vehicles, cannot be imagined without good lights, so modern cars are getting more modern lights every day. It is hard to imagine that the first vehicles from the beginning of the 20th century had very low lights and they were on very different drives - dynamos, oil, gasoline and not to mention further, so systems were separated, they were lit separately and decades passed. as they were integrated into the entire vehicle and started to fire at the same time as the car was started.

Electric car lamps were a turning point in their own right, and they also meant that the technology would continue to develop unstoppably. The next big milestone in the development of car lamps were in LED lamps. LED means light emitting diodes, and such lamps have a much longer life span and are more efficient in every sense than ordinary and halogen lamps. Some LED lamp units can illuminate more than 100 lumens per watt. The market for LED lamps is growing steadily, about 25 percent annually. Their biggest advantages when used in the automotive industry are that they last 35 to 50 times longer than ordinary car lights, emit constant and bright light, do not heat up and are very durable. The big advantage is that they occupy a smaller area than ordinary lamps. It should be emphasized that LED lamps, which are used as stop lights, are especially effective because they illuminate at full capacity when the pedal is pressed, thus increasing traffic safety.
LED car bulbs were first installed in cars in the late 20s. At that time, LED lamps were used exclusively as a lighting fixture, and only at the beginning of the 21st century, LED lamps began to be used as signal lighting for other purposes in the vehicle. Today, modern vehicles are increasingly using LED bulbs not only as bulbs, turn signals and stop lights on vehicles but also inside the vehicle, ie wherever a light source is needed. So we can say that the auto industry has reluctantly accepted this form of lighting, because it has proven to be very efficient and economical. Also, old car lights work if the vehicle is turned on, and turn off if the engine is turned off. LED lamps can work even if the engine is switched off, which in some situations is more than practical.

In recent times, xenon lights, known as HID lamps, which is an abbreviation of high-intensity discharge, are becoming increasingly popular. The main difference between xenon bulbs and other car bulbs is that they contain gas and therefore have a slightly bluish light. They emit even slightly more light than LED lamps and are more economical than them, and they are certainly more efficient and better bright than ordinary, halogen lamps. He used the first xenon car lights BMW back in 1991, and over time it was accepted by some other car brands. It has been shown that the light from xenon bulbs can be so strong that it can interfere with drivers coming from the opposite direction, so this is an item around which the law and the profession must agree. Also, xenon car lights are quite expensive, so it is certain that a lot will have to be invested in this type of lighting if you want to create light bulbs that are more accessible to a wider number of people.
However, we should say that the dominant light bulbs on the world market are still the halogen ones. They are popular because they have been present for a long time and are cheap, which is the main item for many when shopping. However, the biggest problem with this type of light bulb is that when it emits light, it also emits a lot of thermal energy. That is why burns are quite common. But, they are still number one in the world of lighting in vehicles, partly because they suffer from various modifications and various shapes during production. However, in the last few years, LED lamps have been a dangerous competition for them, so it remains to be seen who will win the war between these two titans, which, if the price is reduced, can be joined by a third, xenon car bulbs.
