Car manufacturer's original tire markings (OE)

Guma

On the side wall gume, in addition to the usual labels, there may be labels whose meaning you do not know. This primarily refers to the car manufacturer's markings by which they prescribe original equipment tires (OE - Original Equipment) new cars. In some cases, the recommended (OE) tires are slightly different from the same tire model that does not have the mark of that car manufacturer.

However, this marking should not be taken lightly as in some cases compliance with these markings requires vehicle specificity. It is also not advisable to mount tires from different manufacturers on the same axle. OE tires are neither better nor worse than the equivalent standard tires, but they behave differently on the vehicle. Therefore, if you have any of the cars such as Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, consult an authorized car manufacturer or better tire dealers.

The following table shows all the lettering on OE tires for different car manufacturers.
